The "Horn in the Hair" is Constant.

Mar 3, 2024

Today I received an email with an image of a second example of 2F16.5Q. I had pretty well abandoned any hope of finding a second example, so when Jim McCormick shared a clear image of his example, it was a very pleasant surprise. The "Q" in 1F16.5Q has been removed as there is now no question that the fault is constant.

Two More on the Three Cent

Guy Jeffery reports 3F2.16 and 3F4.18, which is another CPV that may be found with a partial inscription - this time in the right margin. The stamp would come from either position 50 or 60 from an earlier plate of 100.

Both new varieties have helpful dated examples.

Continuing with Guy's CPVs

Guy Jeffery continues to dig through his massive inventory of Small Queen CPVs, and today we are offered four more new items we need to be watching for as we re-visit our material for items we may have missed. Be sure to visit 3S1.8, 3F1.21, 3F8.21 and 3S2.9.

In what appears to be the discovery of a Major, two or possibly three stamp variety, Guy has shown us examples of 3F18.2 and 3F4.15. These two are not to be missed. We should all be looking for a stamp where the line in 3F4.15 continues into the upper left margin (and possibly the upper right section of the stamp). Here we have the new potential for a killer CPV block.
