Flaw and doubling in LL. aka 3F1.17

  • This is a very long-lasting variety from Jun 1875 to March 1882. 
  • The key distinguishing mark is the scratch in the lower left corner and the dots in C, D, P and T of CANADA POSTAGE. 
  • There is also a line below the left 3 on early printings and a line on the upper left corner below the ornament. 
  • These two lines do diminish and fade over the life of the variety.
